OVERVIEW

Welcome to Slab City. Throughout these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Slab City. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and your purchases of our products and services.

Our store is powered by Shopify. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms and the policies referenced here, including our Privacy Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy.

Nothing in these terms limits any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

  1. ACCOUNT AND CONTACT INFORMATION

You must be legally able to enter into a binding purchase agreement or use our services with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

You agree to provide accurate and current contact, payment, and shipping information. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized use.

  1. PRODUCTS AND COMPATIBILITY

Slab City sells extended-art display cases, graded-card inserts, display accessories, and custom artwork products.

Unless a listing expressly states otherwise, trading cards and graded slabs shown in product photographs are for demonstration purposes and are not included.

Please review the product description and selected variant before ordering. Raw-card display cases and graded-card inserts are different products. Compatibility with a particular grading company, slab format, card size, or sleeve applies only as stated in the listing.

Do not force a card or slab into a product that does not fit. Contact us if you have questions about compatibility or installation.

We aim to represent our products accurately. Screen settings, lighting, printing, and assembly may cause minor visual variations. These variations do not excuse a product being defective or materially different from its description.

Our products are display accessories. Unless expressly stated, we do not guarantee waterproofing, UV protection, preservation of a card’s grade, or prevention of every form of damage.

Follow the instructions and warnings supplied with each product. Keep small parts and any magnets away from young children.

  1. ORDERS AND PAYMENT

Please review your items, quantities, variants, and delivery address before submitting your order.

An automated order acknowledgment confirms receipt of your order. We may decline or cancel orders for reasons such as unavailable inventory, suspected fraud, payment problems, or material listing errors, subject to applicable law.

If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will notify you and refund the canceled portion promptly.

You confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.

Wholesale, promotional, and bulk custom orders may have separate written terms. Any agreed order-specific terms take priority over these general terms where they conflict, subject to mandatory consumer rights.

  1. PRICES, TAXES, AND DUTIES

Prices and promotions may change for future purchases. Online prices may differ from prices offered at events or through other marketplaces.

The applicable currency, shipping charges, taxes, and any duties collected at checkout will be shown during checkout.

For international orders, whether duties and import taxes are included or collected at checkout depends on the destination and checkout arrangement. Additional charges may be payable on delivery where they have not been prepaid and applicable law permits.

We will not increase the agreed price of an existing order without your consent. If a material pricing error affects your order, we will contact you to resolve it or cancel and refund the affected purchase as permitted by law.

  1. CUSTOM ARTWORK AND PERSONALIZED PRODUCTS

Submitting a custom artwork request does not by itself confirm an order, price, or production schedule. We will communicate the scope, price, and estimated timing before accepting the project.

Where we request approval of a proof, production may depend on receiving that approval. Please check names, card details, layout, and other requested specifications carefully.

Changes requested after approval may require additional payment or production time. We will obtain your agreement before charging for additional work.

You must own or have permission to use any material you submit for reproduction. You grant us permission to use that material only as needed to evaluate and fulfill your request and provide related support. We may decline requests that appear to infringe another party’s rights.

Purchasing a custom physical product does not automatically include editable files, copyright ownership, exclusivity, or commercial reproduction rights. Any such rights must be agreed separately in writing.

Return and cancellation eligibility for personalized products is explained in our Returns & Refunds Policy. Standard designs made after an order is placed are not automatically considered personalized.

  1. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Processing or production time is separate from carrier transit time unless expressly stated otherwise. Please review the timing shown in the listing, at checkout, or in your custom order agreement.

Delivery estimates are not guarantees unless expressly identified as guaranteed. Carrier delays, customs processing, and other events may affect delivery.

If we cannot ship within the promised timeframe, we will notify you and provide any delay-consent or cancellation options required by law.

If your parcel is lost, damaged, or appears to have been delivered incorrectly, contact us so we can investigate and arrange an appropriate resolution. Handing a parcel to a carrier does not remove obligations we have under applicable consumer law.

Contact us promptly about address errors. If an order must be reshipped because of an incorrect address you supplied, additional shipping charges may apply where permitted by law.

  1. RETURNS, REFUNDS, AND CANCELLATIONS

Our Returns & Refunds Policy forms part of these terms.

For eligible standard products, our voluntary change-of-mind policy allows return requests within 7 days of delivery. Longer statutory cancellation periods and rights relating to defective, damaged, or incorrect goods apply where required by law.

  1. INTERNATIONAL CHECKOUT

For certain international orders processed through Shopify Managed Markets, Global-e or an identified affiliated entity may act as merchant of record.

Where applicable, the international checkout terms presented with your order govern that transaction and take priority over conflicting provisions of these general terms. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

  1. RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

Slab City is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. However, any sales and purchases you make in our Store are made directly with Slab City. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and Slab City, including any injury, damage, or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with Slab City.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Content created by Slab City, including our original photography, text, and website design, belongs to Slab City or its licensors, to the extent of their respective rights.

Third-party artwork, characters, card designs, names, and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. References to trading card brands and grading companies identify the subject matter or intended compatibility and do not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.

Buying a product does not transfer intellectual property rights in the artwork or grant permission to reproduce it commercially.

You may use our website for ordinary browsing and shopping and share links to our products. You may not copy or commercially exploit protected content without permission from the relevant rights holder.

  1. REVIEWS AND CUSTOMER SUBMISSIONS

If you submit a review, testimonial, or customer photo for publication, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it on our store and in marketing related to our products.

We may format or shorten submissions without changing their meaning. We will seek separate permission before using private correspondence or custom-order reference materials as testimonials or promotional content.

Submissions must be honest, lawful, and respect other people’s intellectual property and privacy rights. Any incentive received for a review should be disclosed.

  1. PRIVACY

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Shopify and other providers may process information to support payment processing, store operation, shipping, and related services. Please review our Privacy Policy for details.

  1. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

Our website may link to third-party websites or provide access to services operated by other businesses. Their separate terms and privacy policies may apply.

We do not control third-party websites or guarantee their content. This does not exclude any responsibility we have under applicable law for services used to fulfill your order.

  1. ACCEPTABLE USE

You may not use our services to commit fraud, submit unlawful content, infringe intellectual property rights, harass others, distribute malware, collect personal information without authorization, or interfere with website security or operation.

Automated tools must respect applicable access restrictions and must not bypass security controls, misrepresent their identity, or disrupt the store.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect our customers and services. This will not remove any existing refund or other consumer rights.

  1. ERRORS AND WEBSITE AVAILABILITY

We may correct inaccurate information and update our website. Changes to descriptions or terms do not retroactively change an accepted order without your agreement or a lawful basis.

We work to keep the website available but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access.

  1. WARRANTIES AND LIABILITY

We remain responsible for meeting our express product descriptions and obligations under applicable law.

To the extent permitted by law, we do not provide additional warranties beyond those expressly stated and those required by law.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the relevant agreement was made.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

  1. GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of Nevada and applicable United States federal law.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings in a court available to you under applicable law.

  1. GENERAL TERMS

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

A failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.

These terms, the policies referenced here, and any applicable written order-specific agreement form the agreement for the relevant services or purchase.

  1. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms for future use of our services. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.

Unless otherwise agreed or required by law, the terms in effect when you placed your order govern that purchase.
